Omer Day 40 הוד שביסוד Hod SheBiYsod

Wow! Space. Presence. Amazement. Receptivity. Splendor. Vertical within Roots. Foundation. Connection. Anchor.

Thank G-d for the evening dog walk! Not only does it provide a breath of fresh air at crucial moments, it has often been the time of inspiration for the evening’s writing.

As I stepped out the door this evening, I tuned into Hod SheBiYsod with the energy of a little question mark attached. Then, there they were - the trees!  Roots! Vertical growth! Wow! The broader their Root base, the more stable those tall beauties.

There were also some incredible irises along the way, full of their own Wow! factor.  They were not full-sized irises, but diminutive and delicate and oh-so Present, waving, “Hello there!” Total delight.

As I saw the whole phenomenon play out in miniature, I became keenly aware of the fact that we all have our own personalized growth potential. The short stature of these irises, relative to their giant cousins with names like Oak and Maple, made them no less impressive in their Splendor. Not even a tiny little bit.

Today, let us rejoice in Vertical growth that is tailor-made to us according to what our personal Root systems can support. Let us remember that as we reach down, so do we rise. Let us be Receptive to new growth experiences as we deepen our Connection with our Foundation.
