Omer Day 42 מלכות שביסוד Malchut SheBiYsod

Friday, May 31

Reality. Sovereignty. Actualization. Shekhina. Selfitude. Revealed Word within Roots. Foundation. Connection. Creative Energy. Anchor.

What is the Actualized Reality born of staying Connected to our Foundation? It may not be something that you can see or touch - I don’t think that is always a defining feature of Actualization.

I noticed that I slept better last night than I had been for a few days, since I started peeking through the door marked “FEAR”. I don’t remember having weird dreams, as I have been the rest of this week. I feel sure that this is the result of putting a little extra effort into staying Grounded in my Connection. With more practice, I more readily feel the comforting Presence of Shekhina if I do feel tempted by that door. It tends to look especially enticing in the wee hours of pre-dawn...

I have also had some particularly wonderful teaching experiences over the last couple of days, which seem to embody Malchut SheBiYsod. The gift of seeing a student achieve things that used to be relegated to the categories of “impossible” and “I can’t” through an ongoing commitment to tapping into Roots and diligently building Foundation is a joy that I can’t possibly hope to describe adequately.

Today’s invitation is to reflect on the Realities that you have seen grow up from Roots, whether they be your own or those you have witnessed in others. May you feel Shekhina’s Presence within all of your Connections. May your firm Foundations support your ever-Actualizing Selfitude.

Shabbat shalom.
