Omer Day 38 תפארת שבישוד Tiferet SheB’Yesod

Beauty. Balance. Harmony. Heart within Connection. Grounding. Foundation.

In Biblical Hebrew, the heart (לב) is the seat of the intellect. We understand the heart to be the seat of emotion. In liturgical Hebrew - the bridge between Biblical and modern - we start to see this transition take place. There is a Balance between the intellect and the emotions found in the Heart.

This strikes me today as I ponder Tiferet SheB’Yesod. In all our Connections, there must be a Balance of thought and feeling. We fall in love, and the feeling takes the lead. t’s a wonderful time! I say “in love” in the broadest sense - this is not always a romantic relationship. It might not even be with a person or with a living being at all!  As we develop in any relationship, whatever its nature, the importance of thought becomes clear as we learn to navigate the unchartered waters of the new combination of spirits that creates its own entity.

May you notice your whole Heart in whatever Connections you experience today. May you experience the Beauty of what Grounding you may find through your Connections.
