Omer Day 6 יסוד שבחסד Yesod SheBeChesed

Roots. Foundation. Bonding. Connection. Creation. Within Love. Generosity. Lovingkindness. Graciousness. Extension.

What are the Roots of your Love? How does Love provide an environment for Creation in your life?  What are the Roots that have sprouted out of your Generosity? With whom have you Bonded through Lovingkindness?

When I think of the Roots of the Love in my life, it is almost an explosion I see - like slow moving fireworks. The Roots grow Roots, and Extend in a self-perpetuating Creation. I picture the sprawling Root system of my family - family of origin, family of marriage, families of circumstance and choice, families of common dreams and hopes, families of learning and teaching. All of these Connections made within the container of Love and Generosity. I wish I had words to describe the vision I see in my mind’s eye. The words “poverty of language” come to mind.

The Foundation of my spiritual practice is gratitude. As I sit here and write these words, feasting on the image of this wonderful complex of Roots and Connections, I am filled with gratitude that brings me into the strong awareness of being surrounded by, wrapped in, swaddled in Love.

What are the Roots of your Love? Are there Foundational practices that open your Connection to the Love in your life? Can you give yourself the Generous gift today of dwelling there for even just a few minutes?

I bet you can. Enjoy it.
