Omer Day 10 תפארת שבגבורה

Beauty. Harmony. Balance. Splendor within Strength. Discernment. Judgement. Restraint. Discipline.

How is your sprout today? (If you're just joining our journey, visit Day 3 for that reference.) Day three of week two. Last week at this time, we were cozy underground, soaking in the warmth of the sun from above the earth in our little seed form. Perhaps today, we exert some Strength and begin to push a root down into the ground.

Soil is an interesting substance. It can be almost liquid-like in its loose form. Easy to run your fingers through, giving little resistance. It can also act as a solid. Particles packed together, creating an impenetrable barrier.

What kind of Strength is needed for the root to start pushing down through the soil? I imagine, no matter what the state of the soil, it passes almost effortlessly between the particles. A tiny, tapered shoot moving in impossibly minute increments. Its exertion is Balanced and graceful, seeking the path of least resistance. It doesn't have to fight to go where it needs to go. It just eases its way through.

May you be blessed today with the Beauty of effortless Strength and growth.
